THE INN’s Commitment to Providing a Safe Environment for Customers and Employees

At THE INN the safety and wellbeing of customers and employees has always been a fundamental part of our business. With the current Covid-19 situation we are doing everything to ensure that visitors to our Hotel, Restaurant & Bar will enjoy a safe experience and feel confident that THE INN is following guidelines to minimise any risk.

To meet the new challenges presented by COVID-19, we have responded by implementing our Stay Safe Policy which will provide a safe and clean environment for all, protecting the health and safety of all our employees and customers.

THE INN has also signed up to Jersey’s Visit Safe Charter to uphold safe policies throughout the Island’s tourism industry establishments.

We look forward to welcoming customers and hope all our guests and diners will be confident in THE INN’s procedures to safeguard everyone in these unprecedented times.

Customer and Employee Health

Physical Distancing

Masks are no longer mandatory for guests & diners, but are an individual choice

Customer’s contact details will be taken, if not already provided when booking, for Government of Jersey’s Track & Trace purposes.

Social distancing is no longer mandatory but customers & employees are advised to practice physical distancing if possible. THE INN will also comply with safe occupancy limits when in place.

Food service tables have increased spacing and service will be from as safe a distance as possible. Our Reception desk has a protective screen and employees throughout all areas will endeavour to use the most effective way to limit contact in the way they offer service, payments etc. Areas will be cleaned and sanitised as appropriate between guests.

Hand Cleaning and Sanitisers

Correct hygiene and frequent handwashing with soap is vital to help combat the spread of the virus. All employees have been instructed to regularly wash their hands, or use sanitizer when a sink is not available.

Hand sanitisers are placed at key customer & employee entrances and contact areas – regular use is encouraged from everyone.

Reporting Health Concerns

Our employees have been given clear instructions on how to respond swiftly to suspected cases of COVID-19. We will be ready to provide support to our guests. Employees are instructed to stay home if they do not feel well and are instructed to contact the Manager if they notice a co-worker or guest with a cough, shortness of breath or other known symptoms of COVID-19. Employees and guests who are exhibiting any of the symptoms of COVID-19 while on the property are advised to immediately notify the Management.

Our Managers will follow the correct procedures in the event of a suspected case, and any confirmed cases of COVID-19 will be promptly reported to local health authorities in accordance with appropriate actions recommended by the Government of Jersey. Current testing and self isolation procedures will be strictly followed for both guests and employees.
